Costco Almond Biscotti – mild in flavor, crispy and not too sweet!

I’m reviewing the Costco Kirkland Signature Almond Biscotti today! These are new to my Costco this year for the holiday season.

Costco carries the Nonni’s Limoncello Biscotti Bites which are really good and I’ve also reviewed the Costco Mom’s Best Almond Biscotti. Although they’re not biscotti, I really love the Costco Lotus Biscoff Cookies and the Laceys Macadamia Milk Chocolate Cookies with a cup of tea or coffee.

Location in Store

The Kirkland Signature Almond Biscotti are in the aisle with the seasonal Christmas treats, near the chocolates and the item number is 1485525.

Taste

The biscotti are very crisp and crunchy which is typical for biscotti, they’re made to be dunked in coffee or tea. They have a mild but pleasant flavor and aren’t too sweet.

There are chunks of almond that give them some added texture and crunch. I almost taste a mild citrus flavor coming from the natural orange flavor. The almond flavor is also not very strong.

These are a decent plain biscotti. I can’t see wanting to eat them just by themselves, they’re not bad just plain. I definitely recommend having them on the side of an espresso, tea or coffee and dunking them.

Cost

I paid $10.99 Canadian for the 1 kg box of biscotti that contains two separate foil bags of almond biscotti.

Convenience

The foil bags of biscotti don’t reseal so I use a clothespin to seal the bags to keep them fresh. The best before date is 13 months from the date I purchased the biscotti.

Biscotti makes a nice morning or afternoon snack with coffee and tea. I also personally enjoy having biscotti with vanilla ice cream! If you know a biscotti fan this might be a nice gift idea for Christmas.

Calories

Four biscotti are 120 calories, four and a half grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, nine grams of sugar, three grams of protein and five milligrams of sodium. The biscotti aren’t very large, but that’s not that many calories, fat or sugar for four of them!

Ingredients

I appreciate how short the ingredients list is on the Costco Kirkland Signature Almond Biscotti. These are all ingredients I can pronounce, know what they are and would expect to see in an almond biscotti!

Convenience: 10/10 (would love if the bags resealed)

I find biscotti a bit boring but I appreciate that some people really enjoy biscotti! These are mild in flavor, very crispy and not very sweet!
